Imported from the land down under, this Australian oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the plant. It has a warm, fresh, somewhat medicinal, aroma and is one of the few essential oils that can be put undiluted on the skin. The pharmaceutical and medical community has begun to look seriously at this particular oil due to its reputed antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic qualities. It is an excellent addition to winter lip balms. This oil may cause skin irritation despite the many recommendations for using the oil without dilution.
