About UsDelights of the Earth is owned Jennifer & Edlin Black of Williamsburg, MA. Our goal is to make the best soap from the best ingredients for our customers. We have built this company with the intent of helping others by selling great product and by giving back to the community. ·WASTE: At Delights we recycle all we can and donate any un-saleable soap (soap ends and misshapen soap) to the Northampton Survival Center , who then distributes it to shelters that need it around the valley (last donation 10/19/06). ·LOCAL SOURCES & ORGANIC: We also try to make sure our ingredients come from good sources, if we can, we grow it or harvest it ourselves (such as Witch hazel, maple syrup, cucumber, and peppermint) or from other local sources (Acadia herbals). If we can’t, we get fairly traded and organic products first (such as green tea, lavender, coffee, avocado, coconut and castor oil and soap dishes for gift baskets), then of course fill in the gaps. ·POST CONSUMER: Our mission is to use packaging made from post consumer sources. This is already true of our soap labels and our lip balm tubes. We are currently looking in to the same for our body butters and bath salt jars.
